Void Traces are one of the essential resources in Warframe. They play a crucial part in the steps involved in acquiring new Warframes and weapons in the game, and it always helps to have a lot of Traces in your inventory when new content releases. What are Warframe Void Traces?
Like every good looter-shooter, the core gameplay of Warframe revolves around acquiring powerful gear as you progress through the game. Warframes and weapons are made of components. Components are made of resources you can obtain through missions and complete throughout the star chart. However, most components won’t simply drop through missions.
You will have to farm for these components through Warframe’s loot boxes, called “Void Relics.” Void Relics are free and drop as mission rewards, and they can be opened by doing Void Fissure missions. Upon completing the mission, the Void Relic will reward one of its possible rewards.
Now, here’s where the Void Traces come into play. You can use these Traces to increase the chance of a specific reward dropping from that Relic. “Radiant” is the highest level of an upgraded Relic, allowing it to gain the highest possible chance of dropping a rare reward.
Note that unlike most resources in Warframe, there’s a limit to how many Void Traces you can “hoard.” A player’s cap is determined by their Master Rank; the higher their Master Rank is, the bigger capacity of Void Traces they can hold. Any excess Void Traces will be discarded automatically except for the ones they get after defeating a Kuva Lich.
How to Get Void Traces From Fissure Missions
In a Void Fissure mission, corrupted enemies will drop Reactant on being eliminated. You can identify these enemies by the different glowing patterns on them. Killing these corrupted enemies will drop Reactant that you must manually pick up. Each player must pick up 10 Reactants to open their respective Relic. Failing to get 10 Reactants before the mission ends will result in the Relic being wasted. This will also not reward you with any Void Traces from the mission.
Upon picking up 10 Reactants and completing the mission, the game will reward you with a small number of Void Traces. You can then use these to upgrade other Relics. The mission rewards will also allow you to pick your reward from the opened relics. Each player’s Relic will offer one reward that will be available for all players to pick from.
Void Traces Farming 2022: How to Get Them Efficiently
The most efficient way to farm Void Traces is to keep repeating Relic missions. If you’re doing public missions, be sure to equip a Relic. It is considered bad etiquette to go into a public Void Fissure mission without a Relic, as it will take away one possible reward pool from your entire squad. Faster missions such as Capture and Rescue work best, but if you have plenty of Relics to crack open, you can go for a Survival mission.
Playing Solo is another excellent way if you’re just farming Relics. Do Solo Capture missions to farm Relics without having teammates to slow you down quickly. Use a Volt build prioritizing movement speed. This will let you do one mission every few minutes. Wukong is also a great option for smoother movements in indoor maps.
If you’re playing with a Squad, you can choose to go for Excavation missions as they will reward you with Relics, allowing you to do more of those missions. For Excavation, Frost and Hydroid are great options. Make sure your Sentinel can pick up resources around you with the Vacuum mod—this will save you a lot of time and allow you to pick up Reactant much faster.
If you want to farm Void Traces indirectly, you can do the Elite Sanctuary Onslaught. This is the more brutal version of the Sanctuary Onslaught mode and will reward you with Relics that are already upgraded to Radiant.
Is it Possible to Increase the Number of Drops In A Mission?
You absolutely can! We highly recommend getting a Resource Booster; activating it will double the number of resources you pick up in missions, which includes Void Traces. If you play Warframe regularly and have 200 Platinum, the best way to spend it is on a Resource Booster. This Booster lasts for a month, but you can also buy cheaper ones that last for a shorter duration. If you want the most value for your hard-earned Platinum, the 30-day Booster is the best choice.
Having a Booster on will give you Void Traces so fast that you’ll be able to fully upgrade one Relic every three missions, which is enormous. Then you can simply do Radiant Share missions to unlock the rare rewards. While 200 Platinum might seem like a lot after you’ve grinded it without a Booster, you’ll make your Plat back in no time. That’s because rewards from Radiant relics usually sell for at least 20 Platinum, and you’ll make a lot more than 200 in thirty days.
