Major Territories in Black Desert Online

The world of Black Desert Online is made of territories that are ruled by various factions. Each class in this game traces its origins to these places, so gamers looking for the role-playing aspects might be interested in knowing their characters’ backgrounds. Here are all the territories in Black Desert Online:

• Balenos – The most notable settlements in this region are Olvia and Velia. Encampments in this area mostly rely on fishing as their source of livelihood. The territory is currently under the Republic of Calpheon and under the protection of the Kalis Parliament. Local leadership of the town falls under the Bartali Family. While they do not have any formal army, they are routinely patrolled by a detachment of the Serendian Army.

• Serendia – A large territory composed of Heidel City and Glish. The area was conquered in the past by Calpheon forces and has been part of the Republic ever since. While the Kalis Parliament is the official head of state, Serendia’s local leadership falls under the former king, Lord Crucio Domonggat.

• Calpheon – This territory comprises Calpheon City, Port Epheria, Keplan City, Florin, and Trent. The area is the center of the Republic of Calpheon and is based on the capital of the Kalis Parliament. This place is the home of several classes, such as the Valkyrie, Mystic, Striker, Berserker, and Warrior. The forces of Calpheon have mainly mounted knights, foot soldiers, and war elephants.

• Kamasylvia – The homeland of the elves, which covers the Grana City, Old Wisdom Tree, Lemoria Outpost, and several Acher encampments. The area is a lush green fertile land and the home of the Archer and Ranger classes. The Kama-Grana government is currently ruled by Queen Brolina, while the Acher Faction dominates most of the splintered groups.

• Mediah – Altinova City, Tarif, Kusha, and Abun comprise the territory. The area is currently ruled by Neruda Shen of the Mediah Merchants Union. Still, it was formerly ruled by the Bareeds Royal family until their almost complete destruction during the Three Days of Darkness event. Mediah is home to the Sorceress class.

• Valencia – This territory is the easternmost land on the current map. Most of the area is covered in deserts with suitable lands already inhabited. The region comprises Valencia City, Sand Grain Bazaar, Shakatu, Arehaza, and Muiquun. This place is the homeland of the Hashashin class. It is currently being ruled over by the Nessar Dynasty.

• Drieghan – Also known as the land of the dragon, this territory is a mountainous region composed of the Duvencrune City and other smaller encampments. The area is ruled over by the chiefs of Duvencrune. While the citizens are descendants of the Sherekhan warrior race, Drieghan currently employs mercenaries and hunters to fill the gaps in their small army.

• O’dylita - The land of the Dark Elves and hometown of the Dark Knight. O’dylita is similar to the grounds of Kamasylvia but with an eerie and dark atmosphere. This area is a mysterious place, and its capital is O’draxxia. The region is ruled by the Ahib faction under Queen Viorencia Odore.
