Path of Exile Chaos Orb for Sale
Chaos Orbs are the most critical currency: you’ve finally found that PoE Item in the new 3.17 update with the right sockets, but the modifiers aren’t right? You can use Chaos Orbs to reroll until you get the God-Roll. As players get ready to start the new Archnemesis league, buyers should keep a healthy stock of Chaos Orbs. And if you don’t feel like slogging through the PoE trading channels to find a good deal, you can buy them from a seller directly - convenient and quick. Meanwhile, find all the other PoE Currencies here.
Path of Exile's Unusual Economy
Path of Exile operates on a barter system. That means it doesn't have the usual 'gold-silver-copper' or any kind of monetary system. Players trade with each other using goods. Although, perhaps as a natural progression of the system, some items ended up being treated as currency.
These items are quite common, though some do have increased value due to their rarity. They are the PoE orbs, and as items, they have their own functions aside from being a currency. The orbs or items that get used the most as currency are the Chaos Orb, Exalted Orb, and the Mirror of Kalandra.
The Chaos Orb rerolls a random modifier of a rare quality item. It's an ingredient in crafting, or at least, what counts as crafting in Path of Exile. Exalted Orbs add another modifier to a rare item. Lastly, the Mirror creates a copy of the item.
These three would be like the copper, silver, and gold standards in other games, and in that order too. Chaos Orbs are the least valuable, while Mirrors are the rarest and most valuable. Still, due to the item system, they can't exactly be traded for each other with a set price.
What Should Players Trade Chaos Orbs for in PoE?
Path of Exile has a complex system of trade in terms of currencies used, conversion-rates, the mechanics of trading, but the complexity of the system means that it is extremely rewarding for players who know how it works, that being said, with such a dizzying array of potential products it's easy for new players to get overwhelmed. With that in mind we'll go over the best ways to spend Orbs of Chaos or other currencies:
- Weapons
One of the best uses of Chaos Orbs in PoE is purchasing a weapon. This will provide an immediate, and noticeable DPS jump, for any build. Good deals will not require players to break the bank in orbs, either. Some items that players should look out for at good prices include: Starforge, a powerful Two-Handed weapon that provides amazing damage, good Life bonus and other unique modifiers to Physical damage, it can reach 720 physical DPS. For good rolls, a Starforge can go for around 30 Exalted Orbs. Atziri's Disfavor is one of the best Two-Handed axes in Path of Exile. It comes loaded with high damage, and allows support gems, granting extremely high potential DPS. The axe will set players back by 25 Exalted Orbs for a well-rolled one. Regardless of what a players build is they will be able to, with relative east, find a weapon that will be an upgrade on the marketplace. A weapon should be a priority for players with Orbs to spend.
- Armor
Armor comes in a close second as far as priorities for a player goes. A good armor set is fundamental to every single build in PoE and browsing the marketplace for approprity rolled armor sets can be, and sometimes might exceed, the impact of a best-in-slot weapon. Some noticeable pieces to keep an eye out for include the Legacy of Kaom's Heart which is the single highest Life bonus in the game. It can reach upwards of 3,000 extra life on certain builds and is utterly essential for tank-based or life-based builds. However, a warning: a legacy version of Kaom's Heart costs 1,000 Exalted Orbs, which is an exorbitant, if not unattainable, amount of PoE currency for most players. Shavronne's Wrapping allows for Low-Life/Energy builds which are very popular. Shavronne provides 140-200% increased energy shield, it's price starts at 200 Exalted Orbs. As players can tell, purchasing god-roll armor doesn't come cheap, but when it comes to build quality and impact on a characters power, it couldn't be more important.
- Other Currencies
There are so many types of currencies in PoE that it can become difficult to keep track of them all. It's important to note that currencies in PoE aren't the gold coins from other MMOs. In Path of Exile, a currency is an item that has some utility and base-line market value, because of that, many different items become standard trading currencies. The most basic and accepted one is Orbs of Chaos but, of course, there are countless others and it makes sense to convert Orbs of Chaos to another currency or vice-a-versa. There are many factors that might lead players to consider this, including what part of the league they are currently in, or what exact item they hope to trade for. A more valuable currency is the Exalted Orb, which can be bought with Chaos Orbs at a rate of 40-70 Chaos Orbs per Exalted Orb. They can be used to enhance rare equipment with a new affix. Since they are crucial in crafting high-end items they are comparatively more expensive than Chaos Orbs. Another premium currency player's can convert Chaos Orbs to are Mirrors of Kalanda. These can be converted at a rate of around 75k Chaos Orbs per Mirror. They are used to duplicate any piece of non-unique equipment. Mirrors are extremely rare and so are used to duplicate only the absolute best rare items available. Mirrors can be used in "Mirror Services" where a player will duplicate an item for a player. Depending on what a player is looking for it is beneficial to have a combination of different currencies, since sellers will sometimes specify which one they're looking for.
- Powerleveling or runs
Another valuable use of Orbs, which can save a lot of time in the long run are spending orbs on gear farming runs or powerleveling a new character/build. Many players will accept Orbs as payment to boost lower level players through end-game content, giving them a significant boost to their EXp and farming efficiently. These services are a fantastic use for orbs and are never a bad idea. Labrynth runs are a great idea and full-loot runs will provide players with a healthy collection of new items and drops.

Option 1: In-game, Face to Face Delivery
Sellers will select this method of delivery if they intend to meet your character in-game with one of their own characters. Usually a seller will coordinate a time and location in-game to meet your character.
Tips:
- Be sure to confirm the time to account for time zone differences
- Confirm which Shard or Server the delivery is to take place in case your game world has more than one.
- Never, under any circumstances, return gold, item, etc. to the delivery character if ever asked. In the event the seller asks you to, please take A screenshot and report this to PlayerAuctions Customer Support.
Option 2: In-game Mailbox delivery.
Some sellers will select the option to deliver gold or items directly to an in-game mailbox. This option is less popular for larger Games like WoW, but is still viable amongst other games. This option can be convenient for smaller orders because you do not need to coordinate time of delivery.
Low Prices: Prices set by other players or PowerSellers on PlayerAuctions are significantly lower than the high markups you would find on expensive retail sites.

Reliable Delivery Speed: PlayerAuctions calculates each seller's average delivery speed from the seller's latest successfully completed deliveries, which gives you a clear idea of how fast the seller will deliver your order.
To see how quickly the seller may deliver your order, refer to the seller's delivery guarantee period, which is their promise to complete delivery within a certain timeframe after your payment is securely sent to PlayerAuctions and is successfully verified. Each seller sets their delivery guarantee period independent of PlayerAuctions. In the event that the seller is not able to complete the delivery within their guaranteed time, you may cancel the order without penalty for a hassle-free refund from PlayerAuctions.
PlayerAuctions guarantees that the seller will deliver your order, or your money back. The overwhelming majority of transactions through our site occur successfully. Chaos Orb Drop Rate
The Chaos Orb drop rate is one of the lower drop rates of the currency items. While far more common than Exalted Orbs, Chaos Orbs drop less frequently than nearly every other common currency. To put it into perspective, I typically find one Chaos Orb for every two or three Orb of Alchemy, Orb of Fusing, Orb of Scouring, or Orb of Regret. This means they aren’t incredibly rare, but they also aren’t super common. If I’m running incredibly high quantity maps with all of the investment I possibly can, as well as a full magic find setup, I still will never find more than two or three Chaos Orbs in a single map. The drop rate is even lower at lower levels, it’s not uncommon for me to level a new character to level 60 and not find a single Chaos Orb.
Chaos Orb Recipe
Luckily there’s another way to create Chaos Orbs! The Chaos Orb recipe is a great way to generate additional Chaos Orbs, particularly early in a league. The Chaos Orb recipe is completed by selling a full set of rare items over level 60 to any vendor. By a full set of items I mean one of each item that your character could wear: two weapons (or one two-handed weapon), two rings, belt, amulet, gloves, boots, body armour, and helmet. Keep in mind that every item in the set must be a rare item, and they all must be at least level 60.
Once you have your full set of items you have a decision to make. If you choose to identify the items, then when you vendor them you will receive one Chaos Orb. However, if you choose to leave them unidentified, they will vendor for two Chaos Orbs. It’s up to you to decide whether it’s worth a Chaos Orb to look at the stats on the items you found.
Personally, I dedicate a full quad tab at the start of each league to rare items for the Chaos Orb recipe. It’s the best and most reliable method of making money in the first few days of the league. It is also worth noting that if every item in the set is above level 75, you will receive Regal Orbs instead of Chaos Orbs – you can prevent this as long as at least one item in the set is under level 75.
Chaos Orb Farming
Chaos Orb farming is an interesting concept for trade leagues, as you are nearly always ‘Chaos Orb farming’ by simply trying to make money. However, if you’re playing SSF and cannot ‘farm’ Chaos Orbs by selling items to other players, then there is one method that you can use, apart from the Chaos Orb recipe. There are a couple Divination Cards that will drop Chaos Orbs, and these can be farmed to create a small bonus income of Chaos Orbs. These Divination Cards are Rain of Chaos, Three Faces in the Dark, and The Wrath.
Of these the most reliably easy to farm is Rain of Chaos, which drops in the Castle Ruins map and you can easily complete a set every map you run. Three Faces in the Dark drops far less frequently, but gives more Chaos Orbs per card. It can be found in Arsenal and Factory. Lastly is The Wrath. This card drops infrequently, but every card you pick up is worth more than a Chaos Orb, with a set of 8 cards giving you 10 Chaos Orbs. These can be farmed in Lava Lake and Belfry, which are both quite nice maps to run as well.
Chaos Orb Price and How to Buy
Chaos Orb Price: How much is a Chaos Orb worth?
In game value of Chaos Orbs is fairly static, as everything else is typically priced in Chaos Orbs. Chaos Orbs themselves typically hold a fairly steady rate, while everything else revolves around them. This becomes untrue in some leagues where Chaos Orbs are extremely easy to get, but typically they hold firm. To put it into perspective, Exalted Orbs go up in price throughout the league. It typically costs between 100 and 200 Chaos Orbs to buy a single Exalted Orb, after the first few days. Orb of Scouring, Orb of Alchemy, Orb of Regret, and Orb of Fusing are all between a third and half of the value of Chaos Orbs, depending on the league.
If you want to buy Chaos Orbs for real money, they run for about $0.01 to $0.04 USD, depending on how far into the league you are. This is basically the equivalent of purchasing in game gold in other games, Chaos Orbs are the base currency used by everyone. If you’re looking to buy something that will get you ahead quickly for not much real money, Chaos Orbs are the way to go.
